Who we are

Giselle Polanco Beras

Giselle’s love for dogs grew in December 2005 when she got her first dog, a Siberian Husky named Skye Blue. All the research she did beforehand did nothing to prepare her for the challenge of training a working breed dog. There were many trials and errors but at the end Skye was trusted off-leash. A big accomplishment for a breed that is known for their stubborn independent nature. It was very rewarding being able to finally enjoy their time outdoors.

Since she works in real estate, it was not difficult adjusting her schedule to work with dogs. Giselle started dog walking down in TriBeCa at the beginning of 2014. Later on, she moved up to the Upper West Side/Upper East Side because the commute was easier. After the pandemic, she focused on boarding and hiking.

She has experience working with difficult dogs. It brings her joy when their behavior improves and their owners have a better walking experience.  These training skills are now use on the weekly hikes and with the dogs she boards .

Skye Blue passed in 2020 at the ripe old age of 15. The pack truly helped her deal with the pain of losing a best friend. You can have peace of mind that your dog will be cared for and loved just like her beautiful husky.
